Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (in flashback) Her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. But her parents would not permit her to perform until she turned an adult in fear of the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry admits that she was not happy in school However, she started acting as a means to meet new students while at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. After graduation Perry went in New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent But her home-sickness caused her to move back to California where she found the theater. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway as a couple in The Other Place, in 2013. She performed with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry made an appearance in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Then in 2017, she appeared as her own recurring part on The ABC film Scandal starring her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was able to be cast in the part despite the close familial connection to the character.
