Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and songwriter. Her mother raised her in the USA, where she faced numerous racial slurs that caused her to feel as a non-person. After entering a ninth-grade school audition where she was praised for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. The experience not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her goals in life. In 1992, she received her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot she portrayed the role of Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. In 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended show. Also, she's been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
